Sirens Dinner at Cafe de Orient, Palmwoods 25th October 2018

Cafe de Orient at Palmwoods

It was a lovely night out at Palmwoods at the dinner organised by Barb. Ten Sirens and a guest, Jeannie (friend of Frieda) attended the dinner. The food was really delicious and everyone was in a cheerful and chatty mood.

Sirens Lunch at Woombye 11th October 2018

Lunch at the Woombye Pub

Eleven Sirens attended the lunch organised by Frieda at the Woombye Pub. It was great to see Maggie, returned from visiting her daughter in Geraldton and so happy that the treatment has worked for her daughter and she is in much better health.
Also lovely to catch up with Judi B who's been absent a while after her travels, a move and ill health.
Thanks to Frieda for organising this lovely lunch. The Woomby Pub chef went out of his way to accommodate several orders of Lamb's Fry ( even popping up to the Butcher's for some more liver!) and the meals were all generous and tasty.

Sirens lunch at Ginger Factory, Yandina 13/09/18

Lunch at the Ginger Factory

Linda organised a lovely  lunchtime get together for a group of Sirens at the Ginger Factory in Yandina where she used to work. It was a gorgeous Spring day and we enjoyed sitting outside in the shade and it was easy to order our counter meals. Some ladies indulged in some icecream afterwards which was a special treat indeed.
Judith brought along a box of her red hat gear which as she will be packing to move soon, she was happy to pass on to other ladies.

Sirens Dinner at Mr McGee's August 23rd

Dinner at Mr McGee's Spaghetti House

Queen Sandi organised this outing for us and had some lovely surprises up her sleeve too. Firstly she organised for garlic pizza bread for our table and then she had asked the proprietors to especially make some sticky date pudding for us (not normally on their menu) to cater for our sweet-toothed members. It was enjoyed greatly...thanks Sandi.
We also welcomed a couple of new ladies, Martha and Mavis who are checking out red-hatting with a few groups on the coast before deciding which to join.

We all had a great evening together as usual. Failed miserably at the quiz (as usual) and sang "Happy Birthday" to the bemused table beside us.

Sirens lunch at The Spit at Mooloolaba 9th August

Fish'n'chips at the Spit, Mooloolaba

Seven Sirens met at the Spit at Mooloolaba in the park at the end of Parkyn Parade to have an informal gathering for fish'n'chips.
We were blessed with some beautiful weather and lucky enough to find a sheltered picnic table in the park big enough to fit us all.
Sandi officially welcomed our newest member,Frieda to the Sirens. This is Frieda's fourth outing with us and she was looking wonderful in her newly aquired purple gear and red hat.
It was lovely sitting around and chatting over our fish'n'chips wrapped in paper! The servings were very generous too, but some still had room for some citrus tarts with their coffees!
We were photographed and chatted to by several passers by who admired our red hat finery.
