A night at the Theatre: RU4ME 28th September 2013

RU4ME

Sixteen Sweet Hearts met at the Nambour Civic Centre to attend the play RU4ME on Saturday evening. We enjoyed some pre-show drinks in the foyer beforehand, and then were entertained by an excellent one woman show.
I'm sure some of the men in the audience were squirming in their seats as some of the barbs hit home, but for the most part the humour and situation was something we could all relate to.

It was a busy night at the Woombye Pub on Thursday night as nineteen Sweet Hearts gathered to enjoy a meal together. The Pub was packed with other guests, but managed to serve up lovely meals to us with a smile.

5th September lunch at Phon's Thai Restaurant

We had a lovely get together as sixteen Sweet Hearts descended upon Phon's Thai Restaurant at Cotton Tree for our monthly lunch. Some of us had coffee beforehand or waited in the park across the road as Phon's didn't actually open its doors until the dot of 12 noon for their lunchtime special. This was a good oportunity to mingle and chat before settling down to the serious business of eating.

Women's Expo Friday 13th & Saturday 14th September 2013

An award for service for Queen Mother Chardonnaire and her band of helpers

For five years Queen Mother Susan (founding Queen of the Sugartown Sweet Hearts) has been organising a band of red hat volunteers to "man" an information table at the Women's Expo held at Kawana on the Sunshine Coast each year.
This year Susan and her helpers' hard work and dedication was recognised with a special award by the organising committee.
Congratulations to all of the people who have offered their time over the five years to help spread the red hat message of fun and friendship across the Sunshine Coast.
