Aussie Red Hat Day July 25th 2014

Aussie Red Hat Day hosted by Red'n'Purple Ragers

We had a fabulous time at the Caloundra RSL when 260 Red Hatters from all over Queensland (and some even from further afield) Joined Queen KoolJools and the Red'n'Purple Ragers to celebrate Aussie Red Hat Day for the second year.

Our  Aussie Red Hat Matriarch, Queen Florence (98) was sadly unable to be present (she'd had a recent fall), however Queen Julie read out a letter from her wishing us well for the day.
It was a great day catching up with many of our red hat friends from other chapters, especially our sister groups the Sugartown Sweet Hearts and the Sunny Belles.
Our newest member, Linda was there having a ball and meeting new friends

Christmas in July (12th July) at Julie Kronk's place

Merry Christmas (in July) Everyone!

We had a wonderful time at the Christmas in July event hosted by Julie K (Lady Spillalot) in her home. She and Lynden had gone to a lot of trouble decorating their home with Christmas theme, complete with Christmas tree. All the ladies brought food and a gift to put under the tree for a Secret Santa gift-giving. There was music, dancing and plenty of fun. Thanks Julie for a wonderful night.

Lunch at Invigor8 10/07/14

Invigor8 at Yandina

We had a party of forteen ladies (and a granddaughter!) at our red hat lunch at Yandina organised by Jan Holmes. Despite it being a bit chilly and very windy, we were cosy and warm enjoying friendship and good food inside the cafe.We had a couple of guests along for the day. Wendy from Gympie (who's hosting the Gaggle in September) came along to introduce her friend Sharon who's recently moved from Cairns to live at Palmwoods. We also had Carolyn's granddaughter Talia along. Talia is just about to try out for the Australian ballet and we all wished her well for that.
