Morning tea at the Silva Spoon Thursday 12th November

The Silva Soon morning tea

Eight lovely Sirens including a new guest Cheryl, met at The Silva Spoon at Cotton Tree for some fabulously wicked cakes and cuppas. The venue was very busy, but we were luckily able to fit around a large table in the middle of their very eclectically decorated teashop. It was great to catch up with everyone and make a new friend whom we hope will join our group. It was also lovely to see Heather back looking fab with a new "do".We hardly recognised the new blonde in the group.

Spirit of Tibet Dinner Thursday 22nd October

Spirit of Tibet

The wet and miserable weather didn't dampen our enthusiasm for a lovely meal at Spirit of Tibet at Forest Glen. This lovely dinner was organised for us by Judith McDonald and some ladies shared meals so they got a small taste of several things, while others had a big yummy plate of their own choice. Great venue!

Lunch at Maudys 10th September

Lunch at Maudy's

Nine lovely Sirens attended the September lunch at Maudy's arranged by Kim (Baroness of Burgundy). It was a stunning setting sitting out on the verandah overlooking the green hillscape of Witta.

Some of the ladies had been in to Maleny for a little browse around the boutiques shops, especially liking Imelda's shoe shop. They caused a bit of a stir in town in their gorgeous regalia....all positive of course!

The food was lovely and as usual conversation flowed. Princess Pammie was back from her long jaunt overseas and Dame Billie T was back after travelling in her camper trailer around NT and the Kimberley WA. Lots of other news shared too and everyone seemed to have a good time. Thanks Kim for organising this day out for us.

Sunday 26th July 2015 Brisbane Giggle

And we laughed and we laughed!!!

On Sunday morning some of us met up for breakfast and were joined by new friends met at the Giggle before packing our bags and checking out of our hotel. Then we assembled at the Mercure for the final day of entertainment.
We learned how to laugh under the tutelage of a laughologist and then had a lecture from a Style guru about dressing to fit our shape and colouring. After lunch followed the skits which some of us were unable to stay for.
The big news of the day was that our very own Judith MacK won the main raffle prize....a lovely amethyst necklace valued at $1700 !! I'm sure she will wear it well.

Hokey Pokey in Queen Street Mall with 400 red hatters

Saturday was a very full day. We found our own breakfast place and then wandered into Queen Street Mall for a look around and shop before all 400 red hatters converged for a "flashmob" performance of the Hokey Pokey which was filmed by Channel Seven news. After that we went to City Hall for aa elegant High Tea and organ recital.
Some of the girls then went over to Southbank to ride the Wheel of Brisbane, while the Queen and Vice Queens met for afternoon tea at the Mercure.
Back to our hotel room to get costumed up for the "P" party. We looked fabulous in our Pirate costumes! There were a large variety of interpretations of "P" costumes. A fun night of dancing followed.
