Lady Spillalot

Julie changed her Red Hat name from Countess Champagne (she does enjoy a wee drop of champagne) to Lady Spillalot on the recommendation of one of her sons. It is an entirely appropriate name as some of us have discovered. On one particularly memorable episode of spillage, the person sitting beside Julie wore the best part of a full glass of red wine on her white pants, the rest dripping down onto a car parked under the verandah they were sitting on! Napisan Plus fixed the pants. The car .... well it needed a wash anyway. There was much laughter, as there always is anytime you are around Julie ..... she has a wicked sense of humour too.
Julie has two sons and five grandchildren (so far) and her family and husband are the most important part of her life. She always has a lot of fun when the grandkids visit. She's known as "Grandma Bubbles" because she always has a supply of bubble wands to blow bubbles with the kids.
Julie always wanted to be a nurse and she has a long and successful career in this field. She has the gift of being able to analyse, prioritise, delegate and manage challenging situations in her job. She still works full time in Operating Theatre at Nambour Hospital. Although she takes her job seriously she doesn't take herself too seriously .... she loves to dress up as a nun or clown or in her red hat finery and throw herself into any fun going. Red Hats is the perfect outlet for her.
Julie adores travel. She's undertaken some amazing overseas trips with her husband, and there's still plenty more on her bucket list. Next on the list are some cruises - The Whitsundays, New Zealand and Asia are on the drawing board before retirement.
Meanwhile, Julie seizes life with both hands. When she's on a mission to shop she's gotten some canny bargains through ebay. Julie's stash of bling, hats, shoes and clothes is growing like topsy and there is now a dedicated wardrobe in her spare room. She's looking forward to the Gaggle and Giggle and time away with friends getting to know them better.
