Dinner at Yabbies 23rd April 2015

Dinner at Yabbies Seafood Restaurant at Cotton Tree

It was a lovely evening at Yabbies, organised by Princess Pammie. We had two tables of six & seven Sirens including Queen Glyneth our friend from The Sugartown Sweet Hearts. The food was delicious and there was as usual spirited chat around the table sharing news of up-coming holidays or our recent doings.

A walk in the park 9th April 2015

Mary Cairncross Park near Maleny

Our regular lunch get-together was preceded by a walk at Mary Cairncross park. Five Sirens were led by volunteer guide Sue, who was very well informed  about the local flora and fauna. This made the walk through the rainforest so much more interesting for us all.
We even managed to see a paddymelon, several crimson corellas and some trapdoor spider nests, as well as learned about the forest plantlife.
After the walk we caught up with several more sirens who were waiting for us at the restaurant. We all ordered our meals and chatted happily for quite some time. We were blessed with lovely weather on the day. Thanks go to Jan for arranging this very pleasant outing.
We examine the buttress roots of a giant strangler fig
