Mary Cairncross Park near Maleny
Our regular lunch get-together was preceded by a walk at Mary Cairncross park. Five Sirens were led by volunteer guide Sue, who was very well informed about the local flora and fauna. This made the walk through the rainforest so much more interesting for us all.We even managed to see a paddymelon, several crimson corellas and some trapdoor spider nests, as well as learned about the forest plantlife.
After the walk we caught up with several more sirens who were waiting for us at the restaurant. We all ordered our meals and chatted happily for quite some time. We were blessed with lovely weather on the day. Thanks go to Jan for arranging this very pleasant outing.
